Fly Tying BBQ and Open House May 23rd!

We will once again be hosting our Fly Tying BBQ and Open House on Sunday, May 23rd at First Light Anglers! Everyone is welcome and there will be no charge for the event. After the BBQ, we will pile into some cars and once again go for a fish on the back side of Crane's Beach in the Castleneck River. We will probably fish from about 5pm until dark. The tide should be great for this area as we will fish the incoming tide, with high around 8:15. This is great as anglers can spread out across the marsh. Both fly and spin anglers welcome just bring your gear and some waders!!
12:00 - 2:00:Joe Calcavecchia will be tying his saltwater fly patterns. Bring a vise and tie along with him or simply come and watch him spin up some of his great patterns.
2:00 - 4:30: Fly Casting Demo - Come and cast all the new fly rods for 2010!!
2:00 - 4:30: BBQ at First Light Anglers
5:00 - Dark: Fishing at Crane's Beach
* Rich Murphy will be on hand to offer two handed fly casting instruction at the shop and for fishing the front side of Crane's Beach
