BAJA Roosterfish Trip!!!

Just returned from 8 days in Baja chasing roosterfish with the fly rod. A very very challenging fishery, as we expected, but we were rewarded with some true fly rod monsters!! We ended up landing 3 fish simultaneously over 40lbs!!! The guides down there, Jed and Lance, challenged us to find anyone on the planet who had accomplished such a feat from shore with the fly rod, so needless to say, right place right time. We ended landing a bunch of small fish plus one other 35lb fish and a 16lb fish. I pulled the hook on another 40lb fish the last day as well. Pretty crazy when you can cast a surf rod into 600' of water and then watch whales, marlin and tuna crash and feed from shore. Pretty insane to say the least.
