might do some trolling with metals; will post a report.
if anyone has any info, would be happy to share.

saw the stocking on the Mass. website.
I'll do some searching for holdovers; not sure which place will be the target.
I'll post a report; likely heading out tomorrow, looks like the calmer of the two days, but i'll break in the new drift sock.

round pond was pretty quiet, floated some crawlers under bobbers, no love.
tossed some metals at plug's, one guy said a handful of holdovers have been taken on power bait.
will hope to have the boat in trolling somewhere this coming weekend.

i threw some double bunnies around this weekend at various bass lakes without any luck. However, next weekend should be a trout slaughter. Combat fishing can sometimes be an art in itself..

new technique for trout
I've had a theory that finally paid off.
Vertical jigged my first rainbow of the year from 22' of water! Used a northland forage minnow.

I'm sure if I ever made the transition away from spinning gear to leadcore I would have done better but here's to trying something that worked.
Of course the guys in the lawn chairs with coffee and cigars did much better than I did on PowerBait but I broke in the new motor, new rod holders and the drift sock!
The only boat in a while to fish both Stiles Pond and the Isle of Shoals was back in the water!
