Saturday I launched at the Cashman Circus. Do the soccer moms(and dads) normally take up half the trailer spots? Not a regular and first time using the ramp on a Saturday. There was a fishing seminar going on which added to the fun. All 3 rings were entertaining for sure. Nearly got in a fender bender with a SUV who was driving the wrong way in the trailer parking as I was parking the trailer.
Even though the shack was open, they did not put out the direction signs, so it was a free for all as folks were launching and hauling out on both sides.
Did not fish much, and did not see anybody catch anything.
Water temp was 54 off the beach and 59 in the river.
I saw 14 seals, in the usual areas.
The jetty work is completed. Daily News had a picture of the new bar light going up this week. There were a number of guys all the way out on the end of the north jetty.
The Deck has reopened after the fire last fall. Looks like a larger outdoor area. The Bridge Marina has replaced its "dock islands" with an attached system that sticks out much farther than the islands. If you follow the tangent from the last red nun to the bridge the dock runs out pretty close. Coming back to the ramp I had a guy troll between me and the dock, with a few feet on either side.
I’m going to think twice about using the ramp on a Saturday.
